Ashlyn Harris asked ex Ali Krieger for an \u201copen marriage\u201d in a desperate attempt to save their relationship before calling it quits. \u201cI started trying all these things, like, let\u2019s do an open marriage. That was like, my last attempt of, you know, if I\u2019m not getting what I want and we want to keep this together.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
Harris, however, quickly realized the idea of a polyamorous relationship wasn\u2019t what she wanted.
\u201cI\u2019m like, that\u2019s just not even me, dude,\u201d<\/i><\/p>\nHarris got very good at disassociating from her relationship and her ability to sit and suffer for the sake of other people helped her stay in her marriage for as long as she did.<\/p>\n
Harris alleged that she and Krieger weren\u2019t intimate the entire part of their union
\u201cI felt so embarrassed and I felt so much shame that I didn\u2019t know how to tell people that, like, oh, \u2018My wife doesn\u2019t want to touch me or doesn\u2019t want to be intimate or doesn\u2019t want this,’ I just felt like I wasn\u2019t a priority. I didn\u2019t feel that sense of connection, whether emotional or physical. It was soccer, job, kids, and then somewhere down the line it was like, \u2018OK, what about me?’\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
Harris furthered that the lack of love she felt from Krieger led to their relationship ending in 2023, despite rumors that she cheated on her ex with now girlfriend Sophia Bush.
\u201cI\u2019m constantly pegged as a cheater, which that is so far from the truth and she knows it. And it torched me.\u201d<\/i>
