The 74-year-old actor is always happy to chat with fans when out and about but admitted his role as rock star Billy Mack in \u2018Love Actually\u2019 has given some the wrong idea about him.<\/p>\n
He told Britain\u2019s Vogue magazine: \u201cBecause I\u2019m this old bloke who took his clothes off in \u2018Love Actually\u2019, I\u2019m [seen as] safe, but a bit leery or something.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was once chased down the street in New Zealand by girls dressed in bin liners and tiaras screaming, \u2018Get your kit off!\u2019 I had to run.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u2018Joy\u2019 actor admitted he has no idea how to use the oven in his London home.<\/p>\n
\nAsked if he ever eats at home, he said: \u201cNo, I never do. I don\u2019t know how to use the hob.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd Bill \u2013 who is known for his sense of style \u2013 doesn\u2019t own a washing machine either.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI\u2019m a dry-cleaning maniac.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf something hangs still for more than six minutes, it gets dry-cleaned.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI told my dry-cleaner, \u2018I must be your best customer.\u2019 He replied, \u2018Yes, apart from hotels\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe \u2018Shaun of the Dead\u2019 actor has enjoyed getting older because it\u2019s made it easier for him to lead a quiet life.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThe best thing about getting older is that you can decline and people don\u2019t question it.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou can go home, get a book and it is delicious.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, he always makes time to visit the \u201cfestival of cheerful filth\u201d, Julian Clary\u2019s London Palladium pantomime, with friends including playwright David Hare, designer Nicole Farhi, theatre director Jonathan Kent and artist Liza Campbell.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cWe\u2019ve formed a loose association called the Panto Club. I\u2019m taking Judi Dench in January.\u201d<\/p>\n
