\nGreen believes it is very important to give his son the time and space to explore his feelings.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI try to give Slim a life different to the one I had \u2013 to understand what he\u2019s feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\u201cFeelings have been an issue for me my entire life. Especially as boys, parents still say, \u2018Don\u2019t cry!\u2019. I say \u2018Cry, don\u2019t suppress that.\u2019 He\u2019s just doing what he needs to.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s not easy \u2013 there are times when you are stressed, exhausted \u2013 but you try your best not to pass that down.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, the rapper is concerned young people today are lacking resilience.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThere\u2019s a lack of resilience today.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cPeople say, \u2018Engage with your feelings, be sensitive.\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYes but that\u2019s not how you survive everything.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cPeople say, \u2018I wish my parents had been in therapy.\u2019 If my nan had done that, there\u2019d have been even less of a chance of me getting through life.<\/p>\n
\n“She\u2019d have fallen apart \u2013 that\u2019s what you need to do, in therapy. She didn\u2019t have that luxury. It was post-war and she had to raise three incredible children on her own \u2013 then me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhinging doesn\u2019t do you any good \u2013 and that\u2019s coming from an ex-complainer.\u201d<\/p>\n
