{"id":134373,"date":"2024-11-23T07:16:42","date_gmt":"2024-11-23T07:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2024\/11\/23\/judge-rejects-diddys-house-arrest-proposal\/"},"modified":"2024-11-23T07:16:42","modified_gmt":"2024-11-23T07:16:42","slug":"judge-rejects-diddys-house-arrest-proposal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2024\/11\/23\/judge-rejects-diddys-house-arrest-proposal\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge rejects Diddy&#8217;s house arrest proposal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<p>        <time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2024-11-23\" datetime=\"1732346202\" pubdate=\"\">23 November 2024<\/time>\n    <\/p>\n<p>A judge has rejected Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs&#8217; proposal for house arrest on his private island in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>                            <\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">Judge rejects Diddy&#8217;s house arrest proposal<\/p>\n<p>\nAttorneys for the 55-year-old rapper &#8211; who is currently languishing in a New York jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges &#8211; proposed in a court hearing on Friday (22.11.24) that Diddy could be detained at his house on Star Island in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>\nHowever, according to Us Weekly, US District Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the idea stating, \u201cThat is not going to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nDiddy&#8217;s team then made an alternative suggestion, asking if the rapper could be placed under house arrest at his Upper East Side apartment.<\/p>\n<p>\nThey offered to have 24\/7 security with two guards in the three-bedroom property with Diddy and an additional guard stationed downstairs.<\/p>\n<p>\nThey went on to suggest this set-up would be \u201csubstantially more restrictive\u201d than the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, where he is currently residing.<\/p>\n<p>\nThis was Diddy\u2019s fourth time seeking bail and a decision is set to be made next week.<\/p>\n<p>\nCombs has been behind bars after facing a September indictment on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, with his criminal trial set for May 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\nEarlier this month, he was also hit with five complaints of sexual misconduct, from clients represented by attorney Tony Buzbee.<\/p>\n<p>\nBuzbee had announced that he was representing more than 100 clients who say they were the victims of Combs.<\/p>\n<p>\nCombs has denied committing any sexual abuse and his attorneys said after the first flood of complaints filed by Mr Buzbee\u2019s clients Combs cannot \u201caddress every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\nThey stressed he \u201cemphatically\u201d denies sexually abusing anyone.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Pagination --><\/p>\n<p><!-- playbuzz --><br \/>\n<!-- end playbuzz--><\/p>\n<p><!-- \n\n<div data-cn-project=\"femalefirst\">\n    \n<\/div>\n\n --><\/p>\n<p><!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><br \/>\n<!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><\/p>\n<p>    <!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><br \/>\n    <!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/celebrity\/judge-rejects-diddys-house-arrest-proposal-1409560.html?f=rss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>23 November 2024 A judge has rejected Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs&#8217; proposal for house arrest on his private island in Florida.
