{"id":13427,"date":"2023-04-12T20:16:17","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T20:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/12\/gerard-depardieu-facing-sexual-abuse-allegations-from-13-more-women\/"},"modified":"2023-04-12T20:16:17","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T20:16:17","slug":"gerard-depardieu-facing-sexual-abuse-allegations-from-13-more-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/12\/gerard-depardieu-facing-sexual-abuse-allegations-from-13-more-women\/","title":{"rendered":"G\u00e9rard Depardieu facing sexual abuse allegations from 13 more women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/socialitelife.com\/tag\/gerard-depardieu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>G\u00e9rard Depardieu<\/strong><\/a> is facing sexual abuse allegations from 13 more women.<\/p>\n<p>The 74-year-old \u2018Green Card\u2019 actor has been hit by the accusations after French actress Charlotte Arnould, 33, accused the film icon of raping her at his Paris mansion in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>He has vehemently denied the women\u2019s claims after French online investigative newspaper M\u00e9diapart published a dossier on Wednesday (12.04.23) outlining how he allegedly preyed on them using similar methods, while shooting recent projects including Netflix\u2019s crime drama \u2018Marseille\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>A legal spokesman for the actor \u2013 the second highest grossing big-screen star in the history of French cinema behind Louis de Fun\u00e8s \u2013 said: \u201cHe formally denies all the charges likely to fall under criminal law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9diapart\u2019s report said: \u201cBesides the complaint from Charlotte Arnould, we have gathered 13 accounts from women who say they were subjected to sexually inappropriate gestures or proposals by the famous actor, of differing levels of gravity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross the different accounts, the same scene seemed to repeat itself. They are actresses, make-up artists and crew members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey attest to have been subjected to a hand on their buttock, between the legs, or on their thighs or stomach \u2013 as well as obscene sexual propositions, and sometimes insistent groaning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The outlet claims the incidents were \u201claughed off\u201d by people saying: \u201cOh, ok, it\u2019s just G\u00e9rard\u201d, and states similarities between the women\u2019s accounts include that thy were \u201cyoung\u201d and \u201cprecarious\u201d actresses at the start of their careers when they were allegedly targeted.<\/p>\n<p>None of the 13 new complaints are currently filed as a legal complaints.<\/p>\n<p>It is said the actor\u2019s alleged victims \u2013 some of whom anonymously reported the claims \u2013 feared they may never work again if they made an issue about their allegations against a star who has the heavyweight star power and cultural status to get movies funded.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9diapart said there was an \u201casymmetry between, on the one hand, often young, precarious women, starting their career, and on the other, a world-famous actor, whose mere presence sometimes makes it possible to finance the film\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Arnould renounced her legal right to anonymity at the end of 2021 in protest at the length of time the investigation into her accusation is taking after Depardieu was charged with rape and sexual assault.<\/p>\n<p>Within days of his indictment, the actor was back at work on the Paris set of police drama \u2018Maigret and the Dead Girl\u2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post thumbnail-seealso post-76980 type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-celebrity tag-alec-baldwin tag-legal-matters tag-rust mv-content-wrapper thb-post-share-style2\"> <span class=\"thb-seealso-text\">See Also<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"post-gallery\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/socialitelife.com\/alec-baldwin-and-rust-armorer-to-face-manslaughter-charge-over-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>There is CCTV footage of Depardieu performing a sex act on Ms Arnould in August 2018, but the actor said their relationship was consensual.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Arnould went public at the end of 2021 by posting a message on Twitter saying: \u201cI was raped by G\u00e9rard Depardieu.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was a year to the day since the actor was charged with attacking her at his Paris home in 2018 when she was aged 22.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Arnould, who knew Depardieu since she was a child and has appeared in films including \u2018The Art of the Crime\u2019, added: \u201cI am the victim of Depardieu. He\u2019s been indicted for over a year.
