Heartbreak before happiness. Jersey Shore<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Sammi \u201cSweetheart\u201d Giancola<\/strong><\/a> revealed she suffered a devastating pregnancy loss last spring, but later that day got engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Justin May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n On the Thursday, November 21, episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em>, Sammi, 37, explained how she\u2019d been undergoing IVF treatments in hopes of having a child with Justin. She became pregnant, but found out the embryo ultimately didn\u2019t take.<\/p>\n \u201cThis has been a very long process, it\u2019s been a lot of shots, it\u2019s been a lot of hormones,\u201d the reality star tearfully revealed in a confessional. \u201cJust the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away \u2014 it\u2019s devastating for me.\u201d<\/p>\n Sammi shared how Justin was so supportive of her following their heartbreak.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I delivered the news to Justin, he was like, \u2018OK, we\u2019re going to do it again. We\u2019ll take a break.\u2019 He\u2019s so positive and uplifting,\u201d she added. \u201cHe\u2019s so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He\u2019s been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him.\u201d<\/p>\n The same evening in March, the couple got engaged after Justin took Sammi out for a birthday dinner with friends and family. He got down on one knee and popped the question<\/a> in front of everyone close to the reality star.<\/p>\n \u201cI am just like, in awe,\u201d Sammi gushed about becoming a bride-to-be while showing off her diamond engagement ring. \u201cI\u2019ve dreamt of this moment my entire life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like the luckiest girl in the world,\u201d she continued. \u201cJustin coming into my life made my life a million times better. He is just everything I could ever ask for in a man. He\u2019s patient. He\u2019s supportive and I just love and adore him so much.\u201d<\/p>\n Sammi and Justin began dating following her split from ex-fianc\u00e9 Christian Biscardi<\/strong> in the summer of 2021. The couple went Instagram official in November of that year.<\/p>\n The duo took a major step in their relationship when they bought a house together in August 2023.<\/p>\n Sammi announced their engagement in an April Instagram post, writing, \u201cFianc\u00e9,\u201d in the caption of photos of the couple and shared that Justin popped the question on March 16. \u201cThe easiest question I\u2019ve ever answered \u2026 happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I\u2019ll love you forever and then some. Can\u2019t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.\u201d<\/p>\n Justin gushed over his future bride<\/a>, sharing a carousel of photos of the couple while she flashed her new ring bling. \u201cShe said yes! Can\u2019t wait to Marry my best friend! Love you so much babe!\u201d he wrote. \u201cCan\u2019t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!\u201d<\/p>\n The New Jersey native exclusively told Life & Style<\/em> in September about her decision to show her IVF journey<\/a> on Jersey Shore<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI couldn\u2019t hide it. It was like, I just came back to the show, but I\u2019m going through this, and it was like, I don\u2019t wanna leave the show again and step back from it when I just came back,\u201d Sammi explained. \u201cSo it was actually a really hard decision to make.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cBut I\u2019ve learned through this whole process that by talking about it more, it makes it a little bit more easier to go through. Maybe [it] will help other people relate or maybe somebody else is going through a similar situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
