\t\t<\/p>\n Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a> opened up about how Carrie Underwood<\/strong><\/a> is doing with her first season of judging American Idol<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n The 41-year-old \u201cBefore He Cheats\u201d hitmaker is no stranger to the show since she was won its fourth season way back in 2005. However, she\u2019s experiencing a different side of it since taking over for Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> as a judge in the forthcoming 23rd season. <\/p>\n During a recent interview, Luke<\/strong> revealed one component that Carrie<\/strong> was struggling with. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to E! News<\/a>, Luke<\/strong> said that Carrie<\/strong> has a hard time with turning contestants down. <\/p>\n \u201cWhen she has to say \u2018No\u2019 she\u2019s like, \u2018I don\u2019t wanna tell them no,\u2019\u201d he explained. \u201cBut it\u2019s kind of a part [of the job]. It\u2019s hard when you got a kid that\u2019s young and they haven\u2019t found who they are musically.\u201d<\/p>\n The country music star added that she is learning on the fly and doing well. That was particularly the case with young contestants. <\/p>\n \u201cYou kind of have to learn how to be a judge. It\u2019s not like you can go to American Idol<\/em> judging school,\u201d he joked, adding that she \u201chas the best soul and heart.\u201d <\/p>\n His final pronouncement on the matter? \u201cShe\u2019s doing a great job and really settling into the judging table,\u201d Luke<\/strong> said. <\/p>\n The new season of American Idol<\/em> premiers on ABC on Sunday, March 9 at 8pm ET.
