Part of the multi-pronged conservative war on education has been school vouchers.<\/p>\n<p>Co-host Sunny Hostin began citing statistics and studies of these programs. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s arguably not the most pressing aspects of vouchers \u2014 which effectively defund <em>actual<\/em> school districts and attempt to work around the First Amendment. But she did so without success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me get in just to make it a conversation,\u201d Alyssa insisted. It did not avail her, so she swapped tactics.<\/p>\n<p>Alyssa brought up that she herself had attended public school, recalling that Sunny had gone to private school. (Just a reminder that people can have childhood experiences that they don\u2019t believe should be universal \u2014 and that vouchers are about who pays for someone to attend private school, not a referendum on private schools themselves)<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OlV07d042Vo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OlV07d042Vo<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cNobody can figure out what\u2019s being said here right now,\u201d an exasperated Whoopi Goldberg pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>As Alyssa and Sunny continued, Whoopi declared that they were going to take a break \u2014 as in, a break to commercial. Whoopi simply told the audience that they would \u201cbe right back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Immediately, social media users began to discuss the incident. A number of people made comparisons between Alyssa and former <em>The View<\/em> antagonist Meghan McCain.<\/p>\n<p>We have to disagree there. Alyssa may have been interrupting (okay, she was <em>definitely <\/em>interrupting), but she didn\u2019t sulk or go \u201cugh!\u201d while other panelists spoke. It was an interruption, not a tantrum.
