The Real Housewives of Potomac<\/i><\/a><\/span> <\/i>star Ashley Darby<\/strong><\/span><\/a> has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Michael Darby<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashley, 36, filed to end her marriage to Darby, 65, on Wednesday, November 20, according to Page Six<\/i><\/span><\/a>, citing court documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, TMZ<\/span><\/a> quoted Michael, an Australian businessman, as saying that the duo reached \u201can amicable and fair settlement\u201d through their prenup. They have reportedly decided to share custody of their sons Dean, 5, and Dylan, 3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashley and Mark\u2019s official uncoupling has been a long time coming. In April 2022, she confirmed that they\u2019d separated after eight years of marriage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware that there will be many speculative views as to why we have made this decision,\u201d she told Bravo\u2019s The Daily Dish<\/i><\/a> at the time. \u201cPeople will be quick to assume that the causes were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age-gap issues, cultural problems, or child-rearing differences. Pieces of all these may have affected our pure love for each other, but no one reason is the root cause of our mutual decision to go our separate ways.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashley spoke exclusively to Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>in November 2023 about how the exes were handling the split.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently doing something called parallel parenting,\u201d Ashley said at the time. \u201cI learned that terminology from TikTok, and yes, it very much applies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Ashley, parallel parenting involves less personal interaction with the ex-spouse than traditional coparenting does. \u201cWe\u2019re just really only communicating for the children, which I think is the best until we get to a better place personally,\u201d she explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

She told Us<\/i> that her rapport with Michael had taken a turn for the worse.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t actually know the turning point for him,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t know where we became negative toward each other. But something changed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashley went on to confess that she\u2019s disappointed in the way things are between her and Michael despite their split. \u201cI was so in love with this man,\u201d she told Us<\/i>. \u201cTo be in love with somebody for 11 years and then not to be, on these terms, is very challenging. But that\u2019s just life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
