Rock<\/em><\/strong>, an adaptation of the comic book for DC Studios<\/strong><\/a> via Deadline<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Plot details have not yet been revealed, and the deal has not been finalized, according to the report.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The script is reportedly in \u201cgood shape\u201d from Justin Kuritzkes<\/strong>, who previously wrote Challengers<\/em>, as well as Queer<\/em>. The new movie is being developed under DC\u2019s new leadership team of James Gunn<\/strong><\/a> and Peter Safran<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s more about the character, via Deadline<\/em>: \u201d The character of Sgt. Franklin John Rock was created by Robert Kanigher<\/strong> and Joe Kubert<\/strong> and first appeared in the 1959 DC issue, Our Army at War<\/em>. He\u2019s a WWII soldier who served in the infantry. The character gained steamed in 1977 when he received his own comic book series, which ran until July 1988. Rock\u2019s talent includes shooting down German plans with a single submachine gun and tossing grenades with great accuracy. When he\u2019s without a gun, he\u2019s a great street fighter, and can survive several gunshot wounds and the scars of battles. He\u2019s a calm guy with heart, but also has a \u201cCombat Antenna\u201d able to detect in an incoming enemy siege.\u201d<\/p>\n There have been attempts to bring him to the movies over the years, with Bruce Willis<\/strong><\/a> and Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/strong><\/a> attached to films that never materialized. <\/p>\n There\u2019s also a big update about the upcoming Lanterns <\/em>project!<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
