Bethenny Frankel<\/b><\/a> is best known for starring on the original <\/span>Real Housewives of New York City<\/span><\/i><\/a>, though she had less than kind words to say about the show\u2019s reboot and called it a \u201cpiece of trash.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bravo alum, 54, took to TikTok on Saturday, November 16, to share her thoughts on the RHONY<\/em><\/a> reboot, which includes a completely new cast. The clip has since been deleted, though several fans were able to save it and circulate it on X.<\/p>\n After she deemed the RHONY<\/span><\/i> reboot as \u201cunwatchable,\u201d<\/span><\/a> Bethenny referenced the original cast by stating, \u201cJustice for <\/span>Sonja [Morgan], Dorinda [Medley], Luann [de Lesseps], Ramona [Singer]<\/b>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey were ride or die. That show was on their back and all of a sudden they all got replaced,\u201d Bethenny said about the original cast. \u201cThey were all sitting on the shelf like Toy Story, hoping someone was gonna come play with them.\u201d<\/p>\n While Bethenny left the show for good in 2019, several of the old cast members were dropped from the series in 2022 after 13 seasons.<\/p>\n Bethenny went on to claim that \u201ca lot more money was spent on the new cast.\u201d The reboot \u2013 which premiered in July 2023 \u2013 stars Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy <\/b>and<\/span> Ubah Hassan<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c[The original cast] have always been like the stepchildren,\u201d she continued in the clip. \u201cThey\u2019ve always been discarded. I know the money they\u2019ve gotten paid, I know the demotions, the budgets, the premiere budgets. They know. I know. We know. You know<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Bethenny added, \u201cThe new girls, I\u2019m sure they\u2019re lovely<\/a>. I haven\u2019t seen the show. I am actually sure they are lovely. But these women, as they got older, just got dropped off at the side of the road.\u201d<\/p>\n As the video continued, Bethenny alleged that RHONY<\/em>\u2019s viewership has declined since the reboot premiered. She then advised Bravo to rehire some of the old cast in an attempt to get viewers to start watching again.<\/p>\n \u201cYou got like 200,000 viewers watching this piece of trash. So, go get the old girls and dust them off and mix them in. Humble pie is coming in hot,\u201d she claimed.<\/p>\n Life & Style<\/em> has reached out to Bravo for comment and did not immediately hear back.<\/p>\n Bethenny\u2019s negative comments about the RHONY<\/em> reboot likely won\u2019t surprise fans, as she\u2019s been an outspoken critic of the franchise since exiting the show at the end of season 11.<\/p>\n In July 2022, Bethenny got candid while revealing the real reason that she left the show. While addressing rumors that she \u201cleft the Housewives<\/em> because of money,\u201d Bethenny explained, \u201cIf I stayed, it would have been because of the money. I left because I wanted to leave. I was ready to leave, and I used a technicality deal point as my excuse.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI had just lost someone very close to me, and I went to work when the show came back,\u201d she continued in a video posted via TikTok<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to. Pros play hurt. I\u2019m a professional. I show up on time, I deliver. That\u2019s my reputation in business.\u201d<\/p>\n While looking over the show\u2019s contract, Bethenny said that she found a \u201cnew point\u201d that stated that the stars \u201cwon\u2019t be paid\u201d if they failed to appear in an episode. \u201cThe production company said that they \u2018would never air an episode without you,\u2019\u201d she said, claiming that the rule didn\u2019t apply to her. \u201cThey told me that directly, I have receipts.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI already knew that I\u2019m a professional and there would just be no situation where I wouldn\u2019t show up for work,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut sometimes, these little things, if you\u2019re thinking of leaving and you don\u2019t want to be there, you know I\u2019m the type of person where that one thing would give me an excuse. So I said no. And the reason for that term was because Housewives in other cities who weren\u2019t filming, they just decided not to film. That was just my excuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
