The Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> has had an incredible season, with leading lady Joan Vassos<\/strong> sharing her heartbreaking story and opening her heart to finding love again. Guy Gansert<\/strong><\/a> and Chock Chapple<\/strong> were the final two guys left, and they got to meet Joan\u2019s family in the finale episode. Who did Joan choose at the final rose ceremony? And did she get engaged? The world is so excited to find out.<\/p>\n Check back here for live updates of the exciting final episode of the season.<\/p>\n The episode started off with an emotional Joan, who was still reeling from Pascal\u2019s dramatic exit in the previous episode. She said she felt \u201cunlovable.\u201d Chock was first to meet Joan\u2019s family. Joan broke down in tears while she talked to her kids about her connection with Chock.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not here to replace your dad \u2026 I\u2019m just here to have a great life with your mom,\u201d Chock told Joan\u2019s son during the visit.<\/p>\n Joan\u2019s son told her he was so proud of her for being courageous and taking risks in such a graceful way. He also said that he liked Chock a lot.<\/p>\n He praised his mom for having \u201cincredible strength\u201d and for always lifting her family up. He said it was evident that his mom was so happy. Later on in the episode, Joan and Chock met for some one-on-one time. He presented Joan with a lock and key and told her he wanted to find a place in New York City with her. Chock professed his love for Joan but she did not say it back to him.<\/p>\n \u201cJoan did not tell me she loved me back,\u201d Chock said in a confessional. \u201cThat\u2019s always going to be a concern when you\u2019re the first one to say the love word.\u201d<\/p>\n He hoped that if he proposed, Joan would say she loved him back.<\/p>\n Joan woke up the next day thinking about her connection with Chock. She realized that he heart was with Chock and decided to break up with Guy<\/a> before he met her family.<\/p>\n \u201cMy biggest hope and my biggest fear were kind of that I would have strong feelings for at least one person and the scary part was that I would have to send somebody home so I\u2019m here to tell you my heart belongs to somebody else,\u201d she told Guy. \u201cI care about you so so so so much and I know we talked about being seen, and I want you to know that I saw you at every rose ceremony. I saw you at every date. Just my heart belongs to somebody else now and instead of putting you through meeting my family and showing up on the last day, I wanted to spare you all of that because I care so much about you. I\u2019m so sorry, I didn\u2019t want to hurt you. I swear I didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n Guy broke down in tears after Joan broke up with him. He told her that he planned on proposing to her and he fell for her. \u201cI laid it all out. I was ready,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Joan said that she felt \u201creally guilty\u201d because she didn\u2019t wanna hurt people.<\/p>\n \u201cLosing Joan makes me feel devastated, sick to my stomach, heartbroken. I thought it was Joan. I really thought it was going to happen,\u201d Guy said.<\/p>\n After sending Guy home, Chock was the final man left standing.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve had a magical journey,\u201d Chock told Joan. \u201cIt\u2019s just been absolutely incredible. You\u2019re the most giving, selfless woman I\u2019ve ever met in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Chock said that he would proceed in their relationship by keeping Joan\u2019s late husband in mind. \u201cI will honor him by loving you every day \u2026 Joan you will never be invisible to me,\u201d Chock said.<\/p>\n \u201cI look into those gorgeous eyes and I still can\u2019t believe this is happening \u2026 Joan, I love you and I want you to be in my life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cAbout a year and a half ago, I decided that I wanted love back in my life,\u201d Joan told him. She said from their first date in Disneyland, she pictured a life with him.<\/p>\n \u201cI waited til this moment in this amazing location to tell you that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up next to you in the morning and I want to kiss you before I go to bed at night,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n He got down on one knee and popped the question. She happily accepted.
