Hugh Grant<\/strong><\/a> is reflecting on Notting Hill<\/em>. <\/p>\n The 64-year-old actor sat down with Vanity Fair<\/em> in a video interview, in which he watched scenes from previous movies, including 1999 romantic comedy.<\/p>\n During the interview, he said his character William \u201cWill\u201d Thacker was \u201cdespicable.\u201d <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhenever I\u2019m flicking the channels at home after a few drinks, and this comes up, I just think, \u2018Why doesn\u2019t my character have any balls?\u2019\u201d he reflected, taking issue with a scene that involved Will and his love interest, Julia Roberts<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 character Anna Scott, a movie star. <\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a scene in this film where she\u2019s in my house and the paps come to the front door and ring the bell, and I think I just let her go past me and open the door, and that\u2019s awful,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never had a girlfriend, or indeed, now wife, who hasn\u2019t said, \u2018Why the hell didn\u2019t you stop her? What\u2019s wrong with you?\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I don\u2019t really have an answer to that. It was how it was written and I think he\u2019s despicable, really,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He also praised his co-star: \u201cProbably all the time with Julia<\/strong>, as with any brilliant actress, you\u2019re just thinking, \u2018Oh, Christ, they\u2019re really good. I\u2019m not going to be as good as her,\u2019 \u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd she is great at emoting, and she\u2019s got that kind of quality where it looks like her skin is wafer thin.
