Betty White<\/strong><\/a> is receiving a posthumous honor from the United States Postal Service.<\/p>\n

The mail service announced on Friday, November 15, that the iconic actress, who died in 2021 at 99 years old, will be featured on one of the USPS\u2019s 2025 stamps.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn icon of American television, Betty White (1922\u20132021) shared her wit and warmth with viewers for seven decades \u2014 including roles on The Golden Girls<\/em> and The Mary Tyler Moore Show<\/em>,\u201d the USPS shared in a statement<\/a>. \u201cThe comedic actor, who gained younger generations of fans as she entered her 90s, was also revered as a compassionate advocate for animals.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Golden Girls<\/em> star is one of several stamps to be circulated by the USPS in 2025, which also includes a \u201cLove\u201d stamp celebrating artist Keith Haring<\/strong>, and a Black Heritage stamp memorializing musician Allen Toussaint<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis early glimpse into our 2025 stamp program demonstrates our commitment to providing a diverse range of subjects and designs for both philatelists and stamp enthusiasts,\u201d said Lisa Bobb-Semple<\/strong>, stamp services director for USPS in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, we are continuing several of our popular series and commemorative anniversaries, while introducing some exciting new stamps,\u201d Bobb-Semple continued. \u201cAdditionally, several of our mail-use stamps, which are printed based on demand, will be updated this year. Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n

White died on December 31, 2021, just three weeks shy of her 100th birthday<\/a>. Her cause of death<\/a> was revealed on January 11, 2022, which was a stroke she suffered six days prior at her home in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
