The \u2018Shout\u2019 hitmaker has just turned 76 but she insisted \u201cattitude\u201d and \u201cspirit\u201d are more important in a person than how many birthdays they have put behind them.<\/p>\n
She told My Weekly magazine: \u201cI do think people are obsessed by age. They\u2019re numbers, that\u2019s all.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat matters is your spirit. You\u2019ve got to live, love and laugh. It\u2019s all about your attitude.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always believed that if you think young and stay curious, you\u2019ll always be youthful no matter what age you are.<\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s about how you feel inside and I feel very energised and youthful.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI don\u2019t fee any different inside from when I was 30.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLulu wants to \u201clook good\u201d for her age, but doesn\u2019t want to look too young as she\u2019s just content to be the \u201cbest version\u201d of herself she can be.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI want to look good for my age but I don\u2019t want to look like a 20 year old.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI want to be the best version of myself at whatever age I am.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019ve learned the importance of looking after my skin, eating well and exercising.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou can\u2019t rely on good looks forever, but you can take care of yourself to feel good.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAs you get older, you realise it\u2019s not all about how you look \u2013 it\u2019s about how you feel.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhen you feel good, it shows o the outside.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cOf course, good health is everything.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf you don\u2019t have your health, nothing else matters. You\u2019ve got to take care of yourself. That\u2019s what I try to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
