The Hunger Games<\/em> star Wes Bentley<\/strong> has seen his career take off as of late, especially with the success of Yellowstone<\/em>. With series lead Kevin Costner<\/strong> on the outs, things are shaping up behind the scenes to give bigger roles to the rest of the cast if Season 6 goes ahead \u2013 which could mean an even bigger break for Wes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While his on screen character in the show, Jamie Dutton<\/strong>, is cynical and only motivated by power, Wes himself credits his family with keeping him going \u2013 especially his wife, producer and former actress Jacqui Swedberg<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Jacqui is a former actress, known for her performance in the 2011 film Martha Marcy May Marlene<\/em>, which earned her an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female nomination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She\u2019s made appearances in several other films throughout the early 2010s, including Compliance<\/em> (2012), The Sacrament<\/em> (2013), and The Invitation<\/em> (2015) and boasts television credits, as well, including The Walking Dead<\/em>, American Horror Story<\/em>, and The OA<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n Wes met his wife while filming a movie<\/a> in Canada. \u201cShe worked on Corner Gas as an associate producer, and I went up there to shoot a movie called Dolan\u2019s Cadillac,\u201d he explained in an interview with Canadian broadcaster George Stroumboulopoulos<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe had a mutual friend, a publicist \u2026 she invited us all to an Iron Maiden concert, and I fell in love in that moment,\u201d the American Beauty<\/em> actor added.<\/span><\/p>\n He can even remember the exact song that was playing when he realized she was the one: \u201cIt was \u2018Run to the Hills!\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Apparently Jacqui saw the same in Wes, as the two tied the knot in 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI just knew that I\u2019d never met someone like her,\u201d he told Elle<\/em><\/a> in 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI love that she\u2019s unexpected. You can\u2019t ever predict what she\u2019ll say next. She\u2019s also very smart, a great writer and an amazing mother.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The same year they married, Jacqui and Wes welcomed their first child, a son, Charles<\/strong>. They added a daughter to their family, Brooklyn<\/strong>, in 2014.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Interstellar<\/em> actor, who has been open about his struggles with drug addiction in the past, says his family has become his north star whenever the pressures of fame threaten to capsize him.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAnytime I lose my head or feel stressful,\u201d the Arkansas native said, \u201cI remember I\u2019m doing this for my kids and think about them. It lightens my heart.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Wes found startlingly sudden success<\/a> with 1999\u2019s American Beauty<\/em>. However, the young actor also found that with success comes temptation, and from the early 2000s until he met his wife in at the end of the decade, he battled demons starting with occasional marijuana use, which quickly grew to include cocaine, pills and finally heroin.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAt 20, I was too young and too unprepared for stardom. I took myself too seriously,\u201d he said of his career, which dipped shortly after his breakthrough role. Wes told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> in August 2013 that he missed opportunities to work with the likes of Christopher Nolan<\/strong>, Tim Burton<\/strong>, Ang Lee<\/strong> and Tony Scott<\/strong> due to his addiction.<\/span><\/p>\n He credits Jacqui with helping him stay clean since 2010 and rebuild his career<\/a>, telling Elle<\/em>, \u201c\u201cI\u2019ve gotten through it because of my wife.
