Rising star Rachel Zegler<\/a>, known for her powerful performances, recently shared her raw and unfiltered thoughts about President-elect Donald Trump<\/a> on Instagram, expressing her strong disapproval following his electoral victory.<\/p>\n

The drama unfolded when a user on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) shared screenshots of Zegler’s candid Instagram stories about Trump. She posted a lengthy response to the re-election of Trump and the \u201cfour years of hatred\u201d he would bring about in America.<\/p>\n

She wrote about a \u201cdeep, deep sickness\u201d in the US and said she was terrified to see how many people still support someone who \u201cthreatens our democracy\u201d. She also echoed a recent statement made by the singer Ethel Cain<\/strong>, writing: \u201cMay Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zegler ended the statement, writing: \u201cFuck Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

After backlash within conservative corners of the internet, Zegler released a new statement, writing that she wanted to \u201csincerely apologize\u201d for what had been said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse,\u201d she wrote in an Instagram story. \u201cThis week has been emotional for so many of us, but I firmly believe that everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own. I am committed to contributing positively towards a better tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
