\t\t<\/p>\n James Van Der Beek<\/strong><\/a> steps out for the premiere of his new movie Sidelined: The QB & Me<\/strong><\/em> held at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills on Thursday evening (November 14) in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n The 47-year-old actor joined co-star Noah Beck<\/strong><\/a> at the event, who plays his son in the upcoming Tubi movie.<\/p>\n This marks James<\/strong>\u2018 first public appearance since he revealed he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n Also in attendance at the premiere were co-stars Siena Agudong<\/strong><\/a>, Drew Ray Tanner<\/strong><\/a> and Deborah Cox<\/strong><\/a>, director Justin Wu<\/strong> and author Tay Marley<\/strong>, who penned the Wattpad novel the movie is based on.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a synopsis: Dallas Bryan (Agudong<\/strong>) is a high school cheerleader impassioned by the art of dance who hopes to use it as a means of escaping her sleepy small town. Bryan has her sights on a coveted dance scholarship at CalArts, and nothing\u2014or no one\u2014is going to stand in her way. That is\u2026 until the star high school quarterback, Drayton Lahey (Beck<\/strong>), crashes into her life.<\/p>\n Sidelined: The QB & Me<\/em> will premiere Friday, November 29th on Tubi.
