Before Joan Vassos<\/strong><\/a> could find her happy ending on The Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>, she had to end a relationship with one of her final 2 suitors. Joan and Guy Gansert<\/strong><\/a> broke up during the November 13, 2024, finale.\n<\/p>\n After Joan went on a date with Chock Chapple<\/strong>, she admitted she knew that she was in love with him and planned to send Guy home before he was able to meet her family.<\/p>\n While talking to Guy, Joan explained that she wanted to \u201cspare\u201d him from meeting her family because she knew that he would be sent home. \u201cMy biggest hope and my biggest fear were kind of that I would be \u2026 I would have strong feelings for at least one person. In 2021, Guy\u2019s ex submitted paperwork for a \u201cprotection order against domestic violence\u201d after claiming that guy \u201cdisparaged\u201d her and \u201cmotioned like he was going to shoot [her] with his hand shaped like a pistol.\u201d She also referred to Guy as \u201cunstable\u201d and said that he sent her \u201cstacks\u201d of text messages that \u201c[flipped] to anger\u201d quickly.<\/p>\n However, Guy\u2019s ex \u2013 whom he shares four children with \u2013 dismissed the application and wound up not pursuing action against the Nevada resident.
