<\/p>\n Marina Squerciati<\/strong><\/a> is just like Us:<\/em> She\u2019s been planning her Chicago P.D.<\/em><\/a> character Kim Burgess\u2019 dream wedding since she got engaged during season 11.<\/p>\n \u201cI know that [Burgess\u2019 daughter] Makayla really wants it to be in Belize,\u201d Squerciati, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> earlier this month. \u201cMarina Squerciati would like it to be in Belize or any oceanfront property.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress, who has played Burgess since season 1 in 2014, confessed that she hasn\u2019t been \u201ctold anything\u201d except that showrunner Gwen Sigan<\/strong> \u201cdoes not know yet\u201d how and where Burgess and Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger<\/strong><\/a>) will get hitched.<\/p>\n Squerciati, meanwhile, has begun creating her own vision board for Burzek\u2019s special day. \u201cI\u2019ve recently liked [designer] Samantha Sleeper<\/strong> wedding dresses and my algorithm on Instagram is all screwed up,\u201d she told Us<\/em>, adding with a laugh, \u201cInstagram thinks I\u2019m getting married!\u201d<\/p>\n She revealed the one thing she really wants is a \u201ckick-ass wedding dress\u201d for the nuptials, which Sigan previously teased could take place in season 12<\/a>.<\/p>\n Burgess and Ruzek have had an on-off romance since season 1<\/a>. The pair were engaged twice before Ruzek asked for her hand a third time during season 11. Since then, fans have been wondering how they\u2019ll say \u201cI do.\u201d<\/p>\n Flueger, for his part, exclusively told Us<\/em><\/a> in September that it\u2019s \u201cnot really our show [style]\u201d to have a big wedding. \u201cI don\u2019t know how you squeeze that into our show. It feels like it\u2019s probably gonna be more suggested than it is something you\u2019re gonna see on screen,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n The actor, 40, noted that Ruzek would probably tell Burgess, \u201cShould we just go to the courthouse? Let\u2019s just keep it simple. I don\u2019t need the whole to-do. I just wanna be with you.\u201d<\/p>\n Squerciati, however, doesn\u2019t want something off camera or at a courthouse. \u201cI want the white dress moment. Burgess needs a white dress,\u201d she insisted. \u201cBurgess is definitely picking dahlias and, like, centerpieces with candles. Come on, give the girl a moment!\u201d<\/p>\n While Burgess and Ruzek\u2019s wedding details are still unknown, Squerciati told Us<\/em> that the couple are solid even after Burgess made detective<\/a> \u2014 and added another responsibility to her plate \u2014 on the November 6 episode.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think that there has been any, like, poison dart that hasn\u2019t been thrown into their relationship,\u201d she said. \u201cThere\u2019s been cheating, there\u2019s been broken engagements. We\u2019ve both been shot. It\u2019s really not. They\u2019ve been through so much that we deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n
