Lucas Bravo<\/strong>\u2018s future on Emily in Paris<\/em><\/a> is still undecided after his surprising comments<\/a> about the show, a source exclusively reveals in the newest issue of Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe show will go on with or without Lucas,\u201d the insider adds. \u201cThe show is Emily in Paris<\/em> \u2014 not Gabriel in Paris.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the source, \u201cEveryone is so upset about the remarks he made. There is going to be a lot of tension.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Netflix series, which premiered in 2020, follows Emily\u2019s (Lily Collins<\/strong>) journey after moving to France from the U.S. for a new job. Emily subsequently finds herself caught in a love triangle<\/a> between Gabriel (Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Bravo, 36, has played Gabriel, the hot, French chef neighbor and love interest to Lily Collins\u2019 Emily, since season 1. He reprised the role for season 4, which premiered on Netflix in August 2024, but [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Season 4 premiered earlier this year and showed Emily and Gabriel\u2019s attempt at romance ending as quickly as it started. Emily ultimately ended the season in Rome with new love interest Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Last month, Bravo, 36, raised eyebrows with his comments<\/a> about how Gabriel\u2019s arc frustrated him in recent seasons.<\/p>\n

The actor said he felt Gabriel had \u201cslowly turned into guacamole\u201d before making a dig about narrative \u201csouffles\u201d and a \u201clack of risk\u201d on screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn season 1, there was a lot of me in him. But as they made him kind of unaware of his surroundings, of the dynamic, always victimizing and always being completely lost in translation and oblivious to anything that is happening around him and being manipulated by everyone, it kind of became not fun for me to shoot,\u201d he noted. \u201cOr to see a character I love so much and brought me so much, being slowly turned into guacamole. I really grew apart from him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bravo recalled trying to make suggestions<\/a> for his character, adding, \u201c[But] there is only so much I can do in the limits of a script. I tried for seasons to bring nuances but we don\u2019t have much liberty on set. We cannot change a word or an emotion. They know what they want and we just have to comply.\u201d<\/p>\n
