Drew Barrymore<\/a>\u2018s touchy-feely interview style caused another awkward moment on Tuesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show<\/em><\/strong>, this time with guest Martha Stewart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As Barrymore stroked Stewart’s back, the homemaking icon gently pushed her away. Barrymore playfully fell back onto the couch as Stewart quipped<\/a>, \u201cYou’re the wrong gender.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stewart was there to promote her 100th cookbook. When Barrymore asked what makes Stewart feel \u201csoft and gooey inside,\u201d she replied that \u201csoft and gooey treatment\u201d does the trick.<\/p>\n

Barrymore mused, \u201cBeing treated like a lady,\u201d and started petting Stewart’s back again. \u201cSomeone comes in and\u2026\u201d Barrymore began before Stewart nudged her away.<\/p>\n

After Stewart hinted she’d prefer that treatment from a man, Barrymore joked, \u201cI know. Although the way it’s going with men though, Martha, I’m not so sure anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

This interaction adds to the online chatter about Barrymore’s intimate interviewing approach. She addressed the issue during the show’s September premiere, following a similar incident with Oprah Winfrey.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s so funny because consistently over the last five years, it’s that I’m too touchy and too close to people, which is so embarrassing,\u201d Barrymore admitted then. She told viewers, \u201cI don’t know if I can break the habit,\u201d but \u201cI hear you and I’ll do my best.\u201d<\/p>\n
