Joan Vassos<\/strong><\/a> is making it clear that she highly values her childrens\u2019 opinions. In a preview<\/a> for the Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> finale, Joan opened up about how crucial it was to have her kids in Bora Bora before the final rose ceremony.<\/p>\n \u201cI am really, really, really excited for them to meet the two men that are left,\u201d Joan, 61, gushed. \u201cThese two men are amazing. I see futures with both Guy [Gansert]<\/strong> and Chock [Chapple]<\/strong>. Now, I have to decide which person is best for me.\u201d<\/p>\n The Maryland native said that she wouldn\u2019t be able to give out her last rose<\/a> without hearing what her kids had to say. \u201cMy kids are my life and until I get their input, I\u2019m not going to make a final decision,\u201d Joan added. \u201cIt could be Guy, it could be Chock, it could be no one.\u201d<\/p>\n Joan is the proud mom of four children<\/a>: Nicholas, Erica, Allison <\/strong>and Luke<\/strong>. She shared all four adult kids with late husband John Vassos, who died in January 2021 after battling pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n In another finale preview<\/a>, Joan sat down with Allison (Allie) and her husband, Noah<\/strong>, and Nicholas (Nick) and his fianc\u00e9e, Brooke<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s a long journey,\u201d she admitted. \u201cAnd it\u2019s a lot harder than you\u2019d think. When you\u2019re at this age, you have a lot of other stuff you have to deal with and I thought a lot about dad. Really, a lot about dad.\u201d<\/p>\n Joan got emotional as she reflected on the struggles she\u2019d dealt with throughout her journey on the dating show. \u201c[I thought about how] if I had loved dad so much<\/a>, would I be able to fall in love again?\u201d she continued. Nick assured her, \u201cIt\u2019s refreshing to hear that. That should happen. This shouldn\u2019t be easy.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite knowing she had her kids\u2019 support, Joan had a lingering concern about introducing them to her final two men. \u201cMy biggest fear is my kids \u2013 even though they wanted me to find love \u2013 actually seeing me with a person is going to be emotional for them,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n The Golden Bachelorette<\/em> finale comes following a tough episode for Joan during fantasy suites week. After having overnight dates with Guy, 66, and Chock, 61, Joan\u2019s third remaining suitor, Pascal Ibgui<\/strong>, broke up with her because he didn\u2019t feel a \u201cspark\u201d and felt he wasn\u2019t \u201cin love\u201d with her.<\/p>\n
