<\/p>\n Annie \u201cSt. Vincent\u201d Clark<\/strong> has one request for Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, at this point in her career Taylor Swift can do pretty much anything she wants,\u201d Clark, 42, told The Sunday Times<\/a><\/em> in an interview published on Friday, November 8. \u201cFor that reason I say: more Throbbing Gristle.\u201d<\/p>\n Clark cowrote the hit track \u201cCruel Summer,\u201d from Swift\u2019s 2019 album Lover<\/em>. For Clark, writing tunes for others is a similar process to penning songs for herself. \u201cActually, I\u2019m just trying to bring my best ideas, so it isn\u2019t really that different,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n The song off Swift\u2019s Lover<\/em> album topped the Billboard Hot 100 list in 2023, four years after its initial release. While reflecting on the success of \u201cCruel Summer,\u201d Clark praised Swift, 34.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s just so incredibly intelligent and so hardworking. That\u2019s a given. I am so incredibly blown away and amazed by Taylor\u2019s fans because they are just a force of nature,\u201d Clark told People<\/em><\/a> in April. \u201cThey took a song that was, what? Almost four records ago now, that was not a single off a record. They were like, \u2018No, this song\u2019s a hit.\u2019 Then, by force of will, they made that song a worldwide hit.\u201d<\/p>\n Months later, Swift\u2019s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce<\/strong>, gushed that the track is one of his all-time favorites<\/a> of the Eras Tour<\/em> performer. (Swift and Kelce, 35, have been dating since summer 2023<\/a>.)<\/p>\n The tune is \u201cone of the ones she opens with at her [Eras<\/em>] show,\u201d the NFL star said on \u201cBussin\u2019 With the Boys\u201d podcast in June. \u201cWhen she comes out [on stage], it\u2019s just f\u2014\u2019 electric in the stadium,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cAnd she goes into an absolute banger like that.
