He has a direct outlook on the world but a complex blend of motivations that help to make him a compelling character.<\/p>\n<p>Cole Hauser has been a big part of bringing the character to life. Sometimes, fans find themselves rooting for people who are clearly not good people.<\/p>\n<p>Cole Hauser has done a commendable job portraying a character whose family trauma haunts him well into adulthood. His commitment to the Duttons, who took him in, explains \u2014 but does not excuse \u2014 much of his behavior.<\/p>\n<p>But if you think that Cole Hauser looks vaguely familiar, you\u2019re not wrong. His acting career has spanned decades, including cult classic masterpieces like<em> Pitch Black<\/em>. Specifically, one film: <em>2 Fast 2 Furious<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>That is the second film in the series, and perhaps the one with the most famous title. Cole Hauser took on the <em>Fast &amp; Furious<\/em> role of Carter Verone, a drug lord and an all-around not good dude.<\/p>\n<p>Several antagonists from the <em>The Fast &amp; The Furious<\/em> franchise have undergone character arcs that make them more sympathetic, cooperative, and likable. But Carter Verone didn\u2019t give off those vibes. And that\u2019s due to Cole Hauser\u2019s portrayal of him as an unscrupulous villain.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2 Fast 2 Furious - &quot;I&#039;ll Take My Cutter Back&quot; HD\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BgTKQpmIEKs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>As part of the events of <em>2 Fast 2 Furious<\/em>, Carter Verone ends up under arrest. But that doesn\u2019t have to mean the end of Cole Hauser\u2019s character.<\/p>\n<p>Fans on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/fastandfurious\/comments\/15ujy1v\/we_need_cole_hauser_carter_verone_to_return_to\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reddit<\/a> and beyond are suggesting that Cole Hauser could launch his <em>Fast &amp; Furious<\/em> return. One commenter notes that a rich bad guy getting out of prison after 20 years is the \u201cleast unrealistic thing\u201d for the franchise to do.<\/p>\n<p>And they\u2019re specifically noting that Cole Hauser is getting added attention for his <em>Yellowstone <\/em>success. He\u2019s acquitted himself well on screens large and small.<\/p>\n<p>Some note that, if someone from <em>2 Fast 2 Furious<\/em> is going to return, it should be Devon Aoki or Eva Mendes. They, these fans argue, would be more interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Also? Cole Hauser did such a good job portraying the villainous Carter Verone that offering the character a return or a redemption arc could rub some fans the wrong way.
