\t\t<\/p>\n The cast of Wicked<\/strong><\/a><\/em> has descended on Los Angeles to attend the movie\u2019s premiere at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. However, director Jon M. Chu<\/strong><\/a> will not be in attendance. <\/p>\n On Saturday afternoon (November 9), the director took to social media to explain to fans that he would unfortunately be missing the big event. He also explained why. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Jon<\/strong> won\u2019t be there because his wife Kristin Hodge<\/strong><\/a> is going into labor! <\/p>\n \u201cThis movie has always moved in mysterious ways,\u201d Jon<\/strong> wrote in a post on his Instagram story. \u201cToday is a day I\u2019ve been dreaming about for a long time. Two babies (a movie and a little girl) all at one time and I truly couldn\u2019t be happier.\u201d <\/p>\n He continued, writing, \u201cI won\u2019t be able to be at the Wicked premiere tonight with all of you\u2026 there was a change of plans at about 4am this morning\u2026 Instead my wife and I will be welcoming our 5th child into our family and no we will not be naming her Galphaba.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSend all the love to our insanely talented cast and crew tonight,\u201d Jon<\/strong> continued. \u201cThey deserve it and send a little extra welcome to my little girl bursting her bubble and coming into our world any moment now. If she can even have a fraction of the bravery that my wife, [Cynthia Erivo], [Ariana Grande], [Michelle Yeoh] and [Marissa Bode] has then she too will defy gravity one day.\u201d <\/p>\n Congratulations to Jon<\/strong> and Kristin<\/strong> at this very exciting time!
