Pamela Anderson<\/a>: A Love Story\u2019, and she believes showing \u201cauthenticity and vulnerability\u201d helped people to see her in a different way and led to her current career resurgence.<\/p>\nShe told Best magazine: \u201cThe documentary was a turning point.<\/p>\n
\u201cShowing a certain kind of authenticity and vulnerability is something that people tell me they responded to.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so happy to celebrate that and to bring that to my character in \u2018The Last Showgirl\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShelley as a character is a parallel of who I was, of who I am now, and how I\u2019ve been able to show the real me for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhile the 57-year-old star thinks her part in \u2018The Last Showgirl\u2019 is \u201cthe role of a lifetime\u201d, Pamela doesn\u2019t think she could have done it justice until now.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cShelley is the role of a lifetime. It\u2019s the kind of role I always wanted but never had the chance to play.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI was always too young, too underestimated or just too busy making the wrong choices.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I couldn\u2019t have played Shelley without the lifetime of experiences and the journey I have been on.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s like it was all meant to lead here.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nPamela \u2013 who has sons Brandon and Dylan with ex-husband Tommy Lee \u2013 acknowledged she has made \u201cmistakes\u201d in her life but she\u2019s got no regrets.<\/p>\n
\nAsked if she regrets anything, she said: \u201cNo, not really. Have I made mistakes? Of course. But I don\u2019t have many regrets. It was exciting.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI would maybe do some things differently, tackled certain things more but you can\u2019t really regret things in life like that.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m proud to be here now doing things I love.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m proud to be a mother to my two sons and grateful to have the energy to do everything I\u2019m doing now and next.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m excited for the future more than I am looking back with any regret.\u201d<\/p>\n
