Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a> star Meredith Marks<\/strong><\/a> and her husband, Seth Marks<\/strong><\/a>, have been a mainstay on the show since the first season. The couple has experienced a few rough patches during their time on the reality series, and Seth\u2019s job has been a point of contention in the past.<\/p>\n Seth works as the Senior Vice President of Extreme Value Sourcing at Big Lots. According to the company\u2019s website<\/a>, he\u2019s \u201cresponsible for leading our strategic sourcing efforts and working closely with the Merchandising Team to procure products that offer unbeatable value to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n In November 2020, Meredith revealed that she and Seth had separated. What was more shocking was the fact that this wasn\u2019t the first time the couple had done so.<\/p>\n \u201cThe separations we\u2019ve had have been on and off for years and we\u2019ve even dated other people from time to time,\u201d Meredith said during an episode of the \u201cGetting Real With the Housewives<\/a>\u201d podcast at the time. \u201cIt was not something I really wanted to talk about, but I had to and was forced to talk a lot more than I even wanted to by some of the women and that to me is not being a good friend.\u201d<\/p>\n The mom of three has been open in the past about how much the family has moved from state to state, which caused a strain on their marriage.<\/p>\n \u201cSeth is in the closeout and deep discount retail industry, and needs to go hunt for the deals,\u201d Meredith told the cameras during a December 2020 episode of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em>. \u201cBecause of that, we moved to Toronto and back to Chicago and then when we were in Chicago, Seth was commuting every day to Dallas, and then we moved to Park City, and I was running my business on top of it. There definitely was some hostility that that caused in my marriage, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n Seth and Meredith seemed stronger than ever when RHOSLC<\/em> season 5 premiered in October 2024. Unfortunately, by the time episode 7 rolled around, the couple was back in familiar territory when it came to Meredith\u2019s feelings about Seth\u2019s job. During a couples\u2019 trip with some of their fellow costars, Seth let Meredith know he had some \u201cbad news\u201d and had to leave the trip early due to a work obligation. She was irritated with him and pointed out it was a \u201ccouples\u2019 trip\u201d and she wanted the \u201cother half to her couple.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSeth and I have lived in a lot of different places, [which] probably has something to do with why I don\u2019t like to be anywhere for more than a couple weeks at a time. I don\u2019t know, probably 18 years ago, me and the kids were still in Chicago, and he was supposed to be commuting to Toronto Tuesday to Thursday, and then it slowly became Monday to Friday,\u201d Meredith told her costar Heather Gay<\/strong> during a clip from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show<\/em><\/a> on November 7, 2024. \u201cAnd then it became, \u2018Well, we should probably relocate the family there,\u2019 because it was just too hard on him going back and forth. And we did. And that\u2019s not the first time we\u2019ve done that.
