\t\t<\/p>\n DDG<\/strong><\/a> stepped up to defend his ex Halle Bailey<\/strong><\/a> after she called him out online this week. <\/p>\n If you missed it, the 24-year-old Little Mermaid<\/em> actress spoke out<\/a> after the 27-year-old rapper featured their son Halo<\/strong> on a livestream without her permission. The following day, she issued a second statement<\/a> to say that she might have \u201coverreact[ed]\u201d in the moment. <\/p>\n On Thursday (November 7), DDG<\/strong> shared a video responding to the controversy. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n On YouTube, DDG<\/strong> came out in support of Halle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cOne thing I don\u2019t like when people do, I don\u2019t like when people hate on Halle<\/strong>. I don\u2019t care if people think she wrong or not, or if I think she wrong or right,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n DDG<\/strong> continued, adding, \u201cShe could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can\u2019t understand as a man. So when situations like this happen, I try to handle it with as much grace as possible because Halo <\/strong>needs her. I need her; we need each other to create a childhood that\u2019s safe and fun and memorable for him.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that his son was \u201cthe biggest blessing\u201d and that he wouldn\u2019t be a dad without his ex.<\/p>\n \u201cFor that reason alone, I got unconditional love and respect for her that nobody can really change,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The musician stressed that he did not like being pitted against Halle<\/strong> by the public, especially as they navigated coparenting after their split.<\/p>\n \u201cY\u2019all could hate on me for as long as y\u2019all want, but leave Halle <\/strong>alone, man,\u201d he said, adding that they\u2019d be \u201cfamily forever.\u201d<\/p>\n Halle<\/strong> and DDG<\/strong> split in October 2024<\/a> after dating for several years. <\/p>\n \n
