Sophia Bush<\/strong><\/a> has officially scrubbed in to Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/i><\/a>, where her character wasted no time getting entangled with the messy love lives of the doctors.<\/p>\n

Bush, 42, plays Seattle Presbyterian trauma surgeon<\/a> Dr. Cass Beckman, who is married to a cardiothoracic doctor named David (Wil Traval<\/strong>). The couple met up with longstanding Grey\u2019s <\/i>twosome Teddy Altman (Kim Raver<\/strong>) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd<\/strong>) during the latter\u2019s date night. (Owen is the chief of trauma at Grey Sloan Memorial, while Teddy is its chief of surgery.)<\/p>\n

\u201cTeddy, I thought we said no screens,\u201d Owen said before Teddy profusely apologized for checking on one of her cardio patients. \u201cMaybe, use an intern and tell them to call \u2026 Beckman!\u201d<\/p>\n

Owen then shook David\u2019s hand, who introduced his \u201cincredible wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe met at that boring dinner last year,\u201d Bush\u2019s Cass said.<\/p>\n

After the brief introduction, both Owen and David were paged about an incoming emergent trauma \u2014 two teens were crushed by a stage collapse at an air guitar competition \u2014 and encouraged Teddy and Cass to enjoy the meal together instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy don\u2019t you two stay? At least somebody can have fun,\u201d David insisted.<\/p>\n

After exchanging nervous chuckles, Cass and Teddy agreed to stay. Throughout the dinner, they discussed their respective busy medical careers and the origins of their marriages<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were in the military? You look so put together in your boss-lady heels, who knew?\u201d Cass quipped. \u201cDo you want to ditch this place and go somewhere that serves fries instead of pomme frites<\/i>?\u201d<\/p>\n

In October 2024, Sophia Bush confirmed that she would be joining the cast of the long-running drama Grey\u2019s Anatomy by posting a video on her Instagram account in scrubs. \u201cI just wasn\u2019t done with my scrubs \ud83d\udc99 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Teddy concurred, and the pair traded the stuffy French restaurant for a more casual bar. There, they commiserated over balancing motherhood and marriage with medical duties. (Teddy and Owen share two kids, as do Cass and David.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI get home and I just want to crawl into my bed and David has taken apart our kids\u2019 marble run and my son is freaking out,\u201d Cass lamented. \u201cSo, now I have to reconstruct that, too, and [David] wonders why I\u2019m not in the mood.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teddy then revealed her rocky relationship status<\/a> with Owen, including the fact that they are now \u201cscheduling sex and it\u2019s going about as well as you can imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re fine. We\u2019re not at work,\u201d Cass replied after Teddy apologized for saying too much. \u201cYou have to get it out somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cListen, a few years back, David and I went through a really rough patch. We couldn\u2019t talk without arguing. The spark was gone. I didn\u2019t know if we were going to make it, [so] we opened our marriage. \u2026 Yeah, we date and sleep with other people. I mean, with boundaries, of course.\u201d<\/p>\n

A shocked Teddy subsequently revealed that she and Owen were monogamous, but she still stayed for the rest of the drink with Cass. At the end of the night, Cass leaned in to kiss Teddy.<\/p>\n
