Brand, the British funnyman, seemed to show his Trump support on November 6. He posted an Instagram photo holding a cap that mimicked Trump’s iconic \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d hats. This revelation came amid a police investigation into allegations of rape and sexual assault, which Brand has denied.<\/p>\n
Scherzinger responded to Brand’s \u201cMake Jesus First Again\u201d post, asking: \u201cWhere do I get this hat!!!?\u201d She added praying hands and red heart emojis.<\/p>\n
Apparently, Scherzinger’s comment vanished within a day, following negative reactions from Instagram users. But the internet never forgets \u2013 a screenshot of her comment found its way to X.<\/p>\n
Adam Feldman<\/strong>, Time Out New York’<\/em>s theater editor and critic, shared the screenshot on X, quipping: \u201cWell the Best Actress Tony race just got a little less competitive.\u201d He added, \u201cIt’s hard to think of a worse look for a Broadway leading lady than appearing to simultaneously support Donald Trump, Christian hegemony and Russell Brand.\u201d<\/p>\nAnother user chimed in: \u201cHow to lose a Tony in under 30 characters,\u201d likely referring to Scherzinger’s praised performance in Broadway’s Sunset Blvd. <\/em>revival, for which she bagged a Laurence Olivier Award in London.<\/p>\nIt’s worth noting that Scherzinger hasn’t publicly backed any candidate in the recent presidential race.<\/p>\n
