\t\t<\/p>\n Luke Grimes<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about Yellowstone<\/strong><\/a><\/em> without Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a>!<\/p>\n The 40-year-old actor has been starring as Kayce Dutton, one of the sons of the 69-year-old actor\u2019s character John Dutton, since the beginning.<\/p>\n In a new interview ahead of the Paramount Network television show\u2019s return this weekend, Luke<\/strong> dished on what it was like filming the second half of season five without Kevin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHim not coming back felt like, \u2018Okay, we\u2019re going to have to land this plane now for real,\u2019\u201d he told People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI think the patriarch leaving was always going to be part of the story. That\u2019s always where it was headed is like, what do these kids do? What does this family do when their rock is gone?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhatever the circumstances may be, [it] definitely felt like, \u2018Okay, we\u2019re coming in for a landing,\u2019\u201d he added, acknowledging the drama around Kevin<\/strong>\u2018s exit<\/a>. \u201cIt definitely felt different.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a big presence, man, guy\u2019s an icon,\u201d Luke<\/strong> shared. \u201cSo not having him around to set felt a little different. But as always, I mean, we\u2019re a big family now. It was just as special and hopefully, the fans will be able to connect with the story just as much \u2026 I think they will be able to.\u201d<\/p>\n Luke<\/strong> also spoke to the possibility of the show continuing after the end of the season. There are rumors it could get another season<\/a>!<\/p>\n \u201cI think when anything is this successful, there\u2019s a pressure to keep it going because they know they have an audience and that\u2019s what they\u2019re looking for,\u201d he said. \u201cBut it all comes down to Taylor [Sheridan’s]<\/strong><\/a> vision. He has to see it to be able to write it, and I don\u2019t think he\u2019s going to write something that he doesn\u2019t want to.
