Pascal Ibgui<\/strong><\/a> is crossing his fingers in hopes of becoming the next Golden Bachelor<\/a>, but he has a few requests if he is chosen as the season 2 lead.<\/p>\n \u201cThey will have to lower the age,\u201d the Golden Bachelorette<\/em> alum, 69, told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in a story published on Thursday, November 7. \u201cThe age [has] got to be lower. Yes, I\u2019m old, but I don\u2019t go out with a 72-year-old woman.\u201d<\/p>\n Not only does Pascal have a critique about The Golden Bachelor<\/em> contestant age range, but he also thinks the franchise should take a page out of Love Is Blind<\/em>\u2019s playbook.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the concept of The Golden Bachelor<\/em> needs to be modified and make it The Golden Bachelor<\/em> of Chicago, The Golden Bachelor<\/em> of New York, Golden Bachelor<\/em> of L.A., Golden Bachelor<\/em> of Miami, of Dallas,\u201d he told the outlet later in the interview. \u201c[In] Chicago, you get 15 million people between the surrounding area and suburb. You can\u2019t tell me you can\u2019t find 25 widows or divorcees.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Pascal clearly doesn\u2019t fully approve of the current production strategy of The Golden Bachelor<\/em> franchise, the salon owner is \u201cdying\u201d to become the next Golden Bachelor.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m semi-retired, so I have a lot of time. I don\u2019t have to be at work, but I want to see how much involvement there is into it,\u201d Pascal explained of the time commitment to the role.<\/p>\n He later admitted, \u201cI know some of them are dying to be the Bachelor. I mean I\u2019m dying for it. If I know what time of commitment and what is involved and if it fits my schedule, yes, why not?\u201d<\/p>\n Pascal echoed his voice of concern<\/a> about casting from different states during an October 30 interview with Glamour<\/em>, using Bachelor Nation\u2019s Joey Graziadei<\/strong> and Kelsey Anderson<\/strong> as an example.<\/p>\n \u201cI said from the beginning, if you take a 25 to 30-year-old kid who doesn\u2019t have a pot to pee on, doesn\u2019t own a car, who are in between jobs, who rent an apartment, who\u2019s looking for an identity \u2026 it\u2019s easy to say, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m going to move L.A. I\u2019m going to move to New Orleans, and we\u2019re going to make a living together,\u2019\u201d he explained to the publication. \u201cBut when you are like me, established, I have a business, I have real estate, I have my friends, I have my routine, I have my health club, I have my connection \u2026 I ain\u2019t going to move anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n Pascal made it to fantasy suites during Joan Vassos<\/strong>\u2019 season of The Golden Bachelorette<\/em>. However, his reservations about the relationship hindered his ability to progress further and self eliminated before spending a one-on-one sleepover with Joan, 61.<\/p>\n
