Sega is planning to delist a lot of its classic games from digital storefronts as of December 6th at 11:59PM PT.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Steam will be affected the most, losing 62 titles including Crazy Taxi<\/em>, Dr. Robotnik\u2019s Mean Bean Machine<\/em>, Jet Set Radio, NiGHTS into Dreams, <\/em>and Sonic 3D Blast.<\/em> Sega is pulling 12 titles from the Xbox store. The Nintendo eShop and the PlayStation Store will \u201cjust\u201d lose SEGA Genesis Classics \u2014 <\/em>but that title includes more than 50 old Genesis games, so it still means a lot will be unavailable. You can see the full lists of what\u2019s getting pulled on a Sega support page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Any games that you have purchased will still be available to download and play after they\u2019re delisted from the storefronts, so if you\u2019ve had your eye on any of them, you might want to buy them before they\u2019re gone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The delistings are happening ahead of Sega\u2019s planned reboots for Jet Set Radio<\/em>,\u00a0Shinobi<\/em>, Golden Axe<\/em>,\u00a0Streets of Rage<\/em>, and\u00a0Crazy Taxi<\/em>, but those revivals aren\u2019t expected anytime soon<\/a>. And it wouldn\u2019t be the first time Sega has delisted games ahead of releasing them in a different form: the company pulled the vast majority of classic Sonic<\/em> games<\/a> from digital stores\u00a0before it launched Sonic Origins<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Hopefully, the games getting removed in December will be available to buy again at some point down the line \u2014 keeping video game classics alive is already hard enough<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
