\t\t<\/p>\n Major spoilers for Outer Banks<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u2018 season 4 finale ahead!<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve seen the ending for season 4, part 2, you\u2019ll know a major character died.<\/a><\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Rudy Pankow<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s JJ was stabbed and bled out in the show\u2019s finale, and season five is looking to avenge his passing.<\/p>\n Now, Rudy <\/strong>and the show\u2019s creators are reacting to the news.<\/p>\n \u201cFor JJ, he has to judge every moment in his life, if it\u2019s worth it [to take the risk], and I think it\u2019s constantly, yeah, it is for him. Even throughout the pain and the suffering and the struggles for JJ, it\u2019s worth it for him to go to that length. He lives his life to the utmost fullest, and I don\u2019t think he regrets any part of it,\u201d Rudy shared with Netflix\u2019s Tudum<\/a>.<\/p>\n About his character\u2019s death, he said, \u201cWhen I first found out JJ was gonna risk it all and not make it, I understood it. And the risks got bigger and bigger, and the stakes got higher and higher.\u201d He added it was a \u201chuge honor to portray a character so beautiful and selfless.\u201d<\/p>\n Outer Banks<\/em> creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate,<\/strong> and Shannon Burke<\/strong> told the site it was their plan from the start to had JJ\u2019s journey end this way.<\/p>\n Josh <\/strong>shared, \u201cIt was a really hard decision because he\u2019s such a great piece of the ensemble. It sets the stage for an epic fifth and final season. We\u2019re planning a story of redemption, and a season that embodies the friendship that JJ had come to represent. JJ\u2019s death was a hard but necessary piece of the architecture for the story, and we plan on honoring that as much as we can because we love the character as much as the fans do.
