It felt like a mirror moment during the Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> cold open as Kamala Harris<\/a> gave herself a little pep talk before Election Day on Tuesday.<\/p>\n The real VP made a surprise appearance on NBC’s sketch comedy show Saturday, getting a chance to chat with Maya Rudolph<\/a>, who’s been playing Harris since season 50 started in September.<\/p>\n The cold open (watch below) began with a CNN spoof featuring Chloe Fineman<\/strong> as Kaitlan Collins<\/strong>. She first went to James Austin Johnson<\/strong>\u2018s Donald Trump<\/strong> at a rally, where he talked about his recent garbage truck stunt and controversial Liz Cheney<\/strong> comments. Trump then brought out his running mate, Bowen Yang<\/strong>\u2018s J.D. Vance<\/strong>, for a few words.<\/p>\n The scene then shifted to a conversation between Rudolph’s Harris, Andy Samberg<\/strong>\u2018s Doug Emhoff<\/strong>, Jim Gaffigan<\/strong>\u2018s Tim Walz<\/strong>, and Dana Carvey<\/strong>\u2018s Joe Biden<\/strong> discussing their campaign. But Rudolph’s Harris later asked for a moment alone to prep for her final campaign speech.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, this is it, the last campaign stop in Pennsylvania. Gosh, I just wish I could talk to someone who’s been in my shoes,\u201d she says. \u201cYou know, a Black South Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area.\u201d<\/p>\n That’s when she turns to the mirror and sees the real Harris sitting on the other side, looking back at her. \u201cIt is nice to see you Kamala,\u201d the real Harris says. \u201cAnd I’m just here to remind you, you got this because you can do something your opponent cannot do. You can open doors.\u201d<\/p>\n After Rudolph breaks into her famous impression of the VP’s laugh, she says, \u201cNow Kamala, take my palm-ala.\u201d They start finishing each other’s sentences: \u201cThe American people want to stop the chaos and end the drama-ala with a cool new step-mamala. Look, get back in our pajamas and watch a rom-Kamala, like Legally Blonde-ala.
