New York-based alt-punk band The FMs<\/a> will release\u00a0their new album, 51122<\/em>,\u00a0on November 22. Produced by the legendary David Werner and inspired by lo-fi dream pop, classic new wave, and synthpunk, the album follows\u00a0PINK + BLACK<\/em>, their sophomore record released earlier this year.<\/p>\n Following the release of the album\u2019s lead single, a cover of Joy Division\u2019s \u2018She\u2019s Lost Control\u2019, the band recently released the second single, \u201cFuture Pope.\u201d Of the new single, the band\u2019s co-founder Matte Namer shares: \u201cWe have been accelerating to this moment of political panic in 2024, and The FMs are releasing \u2018Future\u00a0Pope,\u2019 a prophetic dance-march beaming cybernetic synths, and funk-punk guitars.
