During The Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Men Tell All episode<\/a> on Wednesday, November 6, Michael Stevens<\/strong> shared a health update with the men. The contestant revealed he was diagnosed with cancer before coming on the show.<\/p>\n When he found out his diagnosis, he was not sure he wanted to do the show anymore. But he said that his kids encouraged him to go through with the experience. \u201cWhat could have been a really lousy, difficult year, was a great one,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI am going to be fine,\u201d he assured everyone in the crowd. \u201cIt was caught early, and I want to thank this terrific group of guys, and I want to thank Joan because I am grateful for that experience.\u201d<\/p>\n Michael said he was particularly moved when the proceeds from the Chippendales group date went to Stand Up to Cancer. During the group date, many of the men expressed that they were grateful to be able to support the cause, as they had lost loved ones to cancer.<\/p>\n The show\u2019s leading lady, Joan Vassos<\/strong>, lost her husband to pancreatic cancer in 2021 after 32 years of marriage.<\/p>\n
