Walton Goggins<\/strong> put in a lot of effort to make sure he was looking and feeling his best for The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI may have an extreme White Lotus<\/em> diet,\u201d Goggins, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Wednesday, October 30, while promoting his partnership with Wal-Mart for the brand\u2019s Deals of Desire<\/a> \u201cadvertainment\u201d series. \u201cI\u2019m not a big breakfast guy, so I try to mini-fast at least three or four times a week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goggins added that he incorporates fasting to his diet for most projects, including his upcoming appearance on Mike White<\/strong>\u2019s anthology series.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy White Lotus<\/em> diet often centered around not eating until around one o\u2019clock in the afternoon,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I\u2019m always like that when I work, and [I] only [have] two nine-minute boiled eggs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor teased that cooking his hard-boiled eggs was \u201cthe key\u201d for the dish to turn out just the way he likes it. While Goggins shared that he stayed away from carbs, he would pair his eggs with another healthy side.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo bread, nine-minute boiled eggs with avocado. That\u2019s what I do,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd then a sensible dinner around five o\u2019clock that involves some protein.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goggins noted that in addition to \u201ckeeping it light\u201d with his meals, he also spent time working out at the gym.<\/p>\n

In January, the Fallout<\/em> star was announced as one of the cast members for the third installment of the hit series White Lotus<\/em>. The following month, filming began in Thailand. In addition to Goggins, the series will also star<\/a> Leslie Bibb<\/strong>, Jason Isaacs<\/strong>, Michelle Monaghan<\/strong>, Parker Posey<\/strong>, Catherine Hook<\/strong>, Sam Nivola<\/strong>, Patrick Schwarzenegger<\/strong> and more. Natasha Rothwell<\/strong> is also returning after playing spa manager Belinda in season 1.<\/p>\n

While on set, Goggins shared that he and his costars formed a close connection while living together on location.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou eat every meal together. You\u2019re sequestered in these five-star hotels, these golden handcuffs \u2014 if you will \u2014 and you get to know each other very well,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s very rare in the life of an actor to get the opportunity to live in the place where you work. And so it was a little jarring at first, very convenient just to wake up and walk five minutes to the set.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Goggins, the arrangement was unusual at first for him. He explained that when he\u2019s working on a project, he likes to focus on his character and not see what everyone else is up to.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m not working, I don\u2019t like to think about other people working because I want to be in the game,\u201d he reflected. \u201cAnd you can\u2019t help but think about the other people that are working because sometimes the lights are [set] on your balcony, to light their seat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Goggins finding the optics a \u201clittle tricky\u201d at times, he ultimately found the experience to be \u201cthe opportunity of a lifetime.\u201d While Goggins can\u2019t say much<\/a> about the new White Lotus season, he teased it\u2019s going to be a real thinker.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think anyone writes an existential crisis quite the way Mike White does. And for a lot of us, you don\u2019t know what came first, the chicken or the egg,\u201d he said. \u201cFor me, this thing that I\u2019m going through turned out to be similar to some of the things I\u2019ve gone through in my own life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that the characters\u2019 stories helped the cast be \u201cextremely supportive of each other\u201d and formed genuine friendships.<\/p>\n

In addition to joining the White Lotus<\/em> cast, Goggins has teamed up with Wal-Mart for their 10-chapter ad series to promote their upcoming Black Friday and holiday deals. The program also features some of Goggins\u2019 friends including Lisa Rinna<\/strong>, Tay Diggs<\/strong>, Anthony Ramos<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is just this wonderful campaign that Walmart has kind of come in this kind of hybrid between entertainment and narrative storytelling and highlighting a lot of the deals that they have coming up for Christmas [and] Black Friday,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cAnd I read it and just desperately wanted to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
