<\/p>\n Yellowstone<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Cole Hauser<\/strong><\/a> is sharing details on how the show\u2019s characters will navigate the departure of Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s character, John Dutton.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the year is really picking up the pieces and moving on,\u201d the Rip Wheeler actor told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Tuesday, November 5. \u201cFigure out how to lose such a polarizing figure in John Dutton and also come together as a family and as a unit, and understand what happened. There\u2019s just a lot of different moving pieces that Taylor<\/strong> [Sheridan, cocreator] did a really good job and a really smart job of doing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody really has their moment to deal with the loss and also, how to continue to survive,\u201d Hauser, 49, added.<\/p>\n Costner announced his departure<\/a> from Yellowstone<\/em> in June after months of speculation about whether he would appear in the upcoming season 5B. The Paramount Network drama\u2019s final episodes will premiere<\/a> on Sunday, November 10, after a lengthy delay. The first half of season 5 concluded in January 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon<\/em> and doing all of the things that\u2019s required, and thinking about Yellowstone<\/em>, that beloved series that I love and I know you love,\u201d Costner said in a video shared via X in June.<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cI just realized that I\u2019m not going to be able to continue season 5B or into the future. It was something that really changed me. I loved it. And I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I won\u2019t be returning.
