(On my own iPhone it appears as the dynamic island.) If you tap on it it merely expands to give you more information about the race, along with little drawn portraits of the candidates, which is decidedly not the content you want if you were just trying to find the button to make the whole thing go away. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">It took me a little bit of jumping around to figure out how to get rid of it, but this is how to dismiss the Electoral College hell-toggle on iOS: <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">Go to your <strong>Settings<\/strong>. Select <strong>Apps <\/strong>towards the bottom. Scroll down to the <strong>Wash Post<\/strong> app. Click on <strong>Live Activities<\/strong>. Turn off the toggle <strong>Allow Live Activities<\/strong>. Select <strong>Live Activity Settings<\/strong> and turn on the toggle to allow live updates from the presidential election. You may need to also click on \u201cStart Presidential Activity\u201d beneath that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">Apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/darylbaxter.bsky.social\/post\/3laae6nq6mh2b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple News<\/a> also has a hell-toggle, and it presumably can be dismissed in your iOS settings in a similar fashion.
