Even the wives of football superstars can\u2019t help but feed into the NFL rumor mill.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When word began circulating last month that Matthew Stafford<\/strong><\/a> was in talks to be traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Minnesota Vikings, it came across his wife Kelly Stafford<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s social media feed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI open up Instagram one day and I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, do I need to start looking for a home in Minnesota?\u2019\u201d Kelly recalled on \u201cThe Morning After\u201d<\/a> podcast Tuesday, November 5. \u201cLike, what\u2019s happening? And that\u2019s one thing you don\u2019t want to text your husband. \u2018Hey, have you heard you\u2019re getting traded?\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kelly did not text Matthew, 36, in the moment, saying it would have been \u201cinappropriate\u201d to do so.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKelly Stafford unabashedly let loose while watching the Los Angeles Rams secure a crucial victory on their home field.\u00a0 The wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford responded after a video of her dancing inside her suite at SoFi Stadium from last week\u2019s game hit social media.\u00a0 \u201cWelp\u2026my dance moves are embarrassing,\u201d Stafford wrote via Instagram [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s seeing it, too,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s not like he\u2019s not seeing these rumors.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kelly admitted the talk had her \u201cspiraling a little bit,\u201d especially when it came to her and Matthew\u2019s four daughters: twins Sawyer<\/strong> and Chandler<\/strong>, 7, Hunter<\/strong>, 6 and Tyler<\/strong>, 4.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, given the circumstances, Kelly couldn\u2019t help but think about what the Stafford family would do if the rumors turned into reality.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always told myself I will never separate our family,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cBecause it\u2019s not fair to anyone. It\u2019s not fair to him to not be able to see his girls; it\u2019s not fair to the girls to not see their Dad. I would lose my mind without him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The plan, in that case, was non-negotiable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI would pick up, go, lease a spot for six months, put the kids in a public school for the rest of the fall and come back in the winter,\u201d Kelly explained.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kelly acknowledged her girls would be \u201cdevastated\u201d about a potential relocation, especially after the family moved across the country in 2021 after Matthew was traded to the Rams from the Detroit Lions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMatthew Stafford might have his post-football career lined up \u2014 and wife Kelly Stafford will be watching feverishly every step of the way.\u00a0\u00a0 The Los Angeles Rams quarterback, 36, appeared on Fox Sports\u2019 NFL coverage on Sunday, October 13, during the bye week for his squad, and he earned the approval of some excited viewers [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alas, the trade to Minnesota never happened, which Kelly credited in part to the Rams\u2019 recent winning ways.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
