Chase Stokes<\/strong><\/a> may be famous for his on-screen love story on Outer Banks<\/em><\/a>, but fans are more interested in the heartthrob\u2019s real-life romances. From high-profile actresses to a country music star, the Maryland native has quite an impressive dating history.<\/p>\n Chase dated his high school sweetheart Xiomara Montalvo<\/strong> while attending Timber Creek High School. According to an Instagram post shared by Xiomara\u2019s family member, Lauren, the couple relocated to Los Angeles in 2017 before breaking up right before the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n \u201cI went through a breakup a little bit before quarantine, and it was with somebody I\u2019d been with for almost 10 years,\u201d he told The Strategist<\/em> at the time, without naming her. \u201cI\u2019ve been writing about it, drawing inspiration from the isolation of quarantine \u2014 there\u2019s a similar kind of heartbreak involved.\u201d<\/p>\n Chase sparked an off-screen romance with his Outer Banks<\/em> costar Madelyn Cline<\/strong> after meeting on set in May 2019. There was a prevailing theory that they first met as extras on another series, noting they both had minor roles in Netflix\u2019s Stranger Things.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve heard a couple of speculations out there that we met on Stranger Things,\u201d Chase exclusively told Life & Style<\/em> in July 2020. \u201cWe actually never met. She did season 2 \u2014 I did season 1, and I was there for, you know, a millisecond. So if you blink, you\u2019ll miss me. She definitely had the bigger part out of the two of us.\u201d<\/p>\n The pair later went Instagram official in June 2020 with a photo of them at the beach. \u201cCats outta the bag,\u201d Chase captioned the post, to which she commented, \u201cTopper punching the air rn\u201d and \u201cI\u2019ve fallen and I cant get up.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Madelyn confirmed she was \u201cin love\u201d with Chase in November 2020, the pair broke up one year later<\/a>. She later opened up about what it\u2019s like to work with her ex after their breakup in a 2023 interview with Cosmopolitan.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe always said that the job remains untouched. Nothing else, personal or negative, will touch the job. And while that\u2019s not always easy, our job is to leave the show better than we found it, to leave the season better than we found it. And I\u2019m really appreciative of that,\u201d she explained. \u201cMy thing is, I don\u2019t owe anyone an explanation. I am a really private person. There\u2019s a part of me that is for me and nobody else. But in hindsight, duh, making my relationship public made it everybody else\u2019s business. And I realized the negative side effects of that while going through the breakup, realizing I had let people in and then felt like I couldn\u2019t get anybody out. It just hit me like a freight train. I wanted us both to move on and be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n Chase was linked to the model in 2022 after they were photographed on a night out in New York City.<\/p>\n \u201cChase and Izzy went to a party at The Box together. They were seen arriving and exiting together, and then they went to Marquee and left there together as well,\u201d an insider told Us Weekly<\/em> at the time. \u201cThey were out partying late. They were really flirty \u2014 hugging and holding hands. They were snuggling and canoodling in the car.
