Turns out the President of France is Just Like Us<\/a> \u2014 he also has some strong feelings about Emily in Paris<\/em><\/a> potentially moving to Italy for season 5.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Variety<\/em><\/a>, which was published on Tuesday, October 9, Emmanuel Macron<\/strong> shared his response to Emily (Lily Collins<\/strong>) relocating to Italy at the end of the fourth season. \u201cWe will fight hard,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd we will ask them to remain in Paris!\u201d<\/p>\n

Macron, 46, explained that Emily in Paris<\/em> being moved to Rome \u201cdoesn\u2019t make sense<\/a>\u201d to him as a viewer.<\/p>\n

The outlet went on to ask the politician about his wife, Brigitte Macron<\/strong>, making an appearance<\/a> on the show during the second half of season 4, which was released last month. \u201cI was super proud, and she was very happy to do it,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s just a few minutes, but I think it was a very good moment for her. I think it\u2019s good for the image of France.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emmanuel praised the hit Netflix series<\/a> for its impact. \u201cEmily in Paris is super positive in terms of attractiveness for the country,\u201d he noted. \u201cFor my own business, it\u2019s a very good initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t expect Emmanuel to make his own cameo, though. \u201cI\u2019m less attractive than Brigitte!\u201d he teased.<\/p>\n
