You can find the same for the PS5 Slim <\/strong>with a disc drive, which is starting at $449 at Amazon<\/a>, Walmart<\/a>, and Best Buy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The consoles still aren\u2019t cheap, per se, but they\u2019re as cheap as you\u2019ll find for machines that can play the latest titles with up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Of course, reaching the upper threshold on either of those metrics is highly dependent on the game you\u2019re playing and what you\u2019re willing to sacrifice. You can get a faster frame rate by switching to performance mode in many games or go for the most impressive visuals by switching to a mode that prioritizes fidelity or resolution. Rarely will you get both. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n That\u2019s where a PS5 Pro<\/a> would help, but we\u2019re still a month out from its arrival<\/a>, and that thing is also $700 \u2014 before<\/em> you factor in the optional $80 disc drive<\/a>, by the way. If you can\u2019t see yourself waiting that long or paying that much, one of the current PS5s is still a great buy. They\u2019ll continue supporting all the same games<\/a> and accessories<\/a>, so you shouldn\u2019t feel much apprehension picking one up this late in the game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
