Through thick and thin. 1000-Lb. Sisters<\/em> star Amy Slaton<\/strong><\/a> and husband, Michael Halterman<\/strong>, have been by each other\u2019s side even before their reality TV days.<\/p>\n The twosome met while in high school<\/a> in the 2000s but didn\u2019t tie the knot<\/a> until March 2019 in Nashville. Throughout the TLC series, which premiered in January 2020, Amy has gushed about how her partner has been her rock throughout her health journey alongside her sister, Tammy Slaton<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMy husband Michael, he means the world to me. Me and Michael are newlyweds but we\u2019ve been together four years now,\u201d Amy recalled during the series premiere. \u201cI can tell him anything and everything. And Michael\u2019s really supportive of me helping Tammy.\u201d<\/p>\n Amy began her wellness journey so she could achieve her goal of becoming a mother. The reality star\u2019s doctor crafted a diet and exercise plan<\/a> for her so she could become eligible for gastric bypass surgery<\/a>. After adhering to the regimen, Amy underwent the procedure in 2020, losing enough weight<\/a> to get pregnant.<\/p>\n In November 2020, the Kentucky natives became parents<\/a> as they welcomed their first child<\/a>, son Gage. Less than two years later, Amy announced she was expecting again<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cGage is going to be a big brother in July 2022,\u201d she wrote via Instagram<\/a> in January of that year alongside a photo of her toddler sporting a onesie that read, \u201cI\u2019m going to be a big brother 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n That February, the YouTube personality opened up about her dynamic with Michael ahead of welcoming baby No. 2.<\/p>\n \u201cHe loves me and supports me. He don\u2019t care how much I weigh, how much I lose. He don\u2019t care,\u201d she told The Sun<\/em><\/a> at the time. \u201cHe just wants me and the babies to be healthy. He\u2019s excited about being a dad again, [but] secretly he wanted a girl.\u201d<\/p>\n Seven months later, Amy gave birth to their second son, Glenn. \u201cWelcome Glenn Allen Halterman,\u201d the TLC personality announced via Instagram<\/a> in July 2022. Less than one year later, Amy exclusively revealed to Us Weekly<\/em> that she and Michael didn\u2019t plan on expanding their family anymore<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI do not want more kids, my family is complete!\u201d she told Us<\/em> in February 2023 while explaining how she balances motherhood and self-care. \u201cAs a busy mom, I just take care of them, when they sleep that\u2019s when I get a bath or do other things for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
