Christopher Ciccone<\/a>, Madonna<\/a>\u2018s younger sibling and a multi-talented artist, has passed away at 63. Known for his work in dance, art, and interior design, Ciccone’s death on Friday<\/a> (Oct. 04, 2024) in Michigan followed a cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

The pop icon took to social media to share her grief, penning a touching tribute to her brother. \u201cMy brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIts hard to explain our bond. But it grew out of an understanding that we were different and society was going to give us a hard time for not following the status quo. We took each other’s hands and we danced through the madness of our childhood.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ciccone’s artistic journey began with dance, which led him to join Montreal’s La Groupe de La Place Royal. He later supported Madonna’s early career as a backup dancer, appearing in her 1983 \u2018Lucky Star’ video.<\/p>\n

His talents extended to art direction for her Blond Ambition World Tour<\/strong><\/em> in 1990 and directing music videos for country legend Dolly Parton<\/strong> and crooner Tony Bennett<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
