Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a> weighed in on Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s snubs at the upcoming CMA Awards after she was not nominated in any category. Although Beyonce\u2019s first country album, Cowboy Carter<\/em>, included chart-topping songs, Luke suggested music wasn\u2019t the reason for the snub.<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody loved that Beyonc\u00e9 made a country album. Nobody\u2019s mad about it. But where things get a little tricky \u2026 if you\u2019re gonna make country albums, come into our world and be country with us a little bit,\u201d the American Idol<\/em> judge, 48, said during a Monday, September 30, appearance on SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cAndy Cohen Live.\u201d<\/p>\n Luke gave Beyonc\u00e9, 43, her flowers by acknowledging that she is \u201cprobably the biggest star in music\u201d and \u201ccan do exactly what she wants to.\u201d That said, the \u201cCountry Girl\u201d singer believes that if Beyonc\u00e9 mingled with other country artists after the release of Cowboy Carter<\/em> in March, it could have helped her get a nomination.<\/p>\n \u201cBut come to an award show and high-five us, and have fun and get in the family, too. And I\u2019m not saying she didn\u2019t do that,\u201d Luke continued. \u201cBut country music\u2019s a lot about family.\u201d<\/p>\n The Country Music Association released the list of 2024 nominees on September 29. BE SO FR RN. DONT PMO.\u201d<\/p>\n Beyonc\u00e9 shut the CMAs down in 2016 when she displayed a standing ovation-worthy performance of \u201cDaddy Lessons\u201d with The Chicks. Although the set racked up the highest numbers in CMA history, the CMAs pulled the performance from their online and social media accounts after they received an outpour of hate amongst their non-inclusive fanbase.<\/p>\n The Chicks\u2019 Natalie Maines<\/strong> recalled the instance during a virtual interview on \u201cThe Howard Stern Show.\u201d Natalie shared that she had personal problems with the award show and claimed that she said she would never return after her 2003 appearance. Once the opportunity to perform with Beyonc\u00e9 fell in her lap, she made an exception and gave a big thumbs up on the idea.<\/p>\n \u201cLet me just say, the week we worked with Beyonc\u00e9 is the single greatest working week of my professional life,\u201d Natalie, 49, gushed<\/a>. \u201cIt was awesome! To watch her world, to see how she does stuff \u2013 she\u2019s a perfectionist. And to see the power she has as a female, and a Black female, is incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n Natalie grew angry when she later reflected on the CMAs taking down the performance.<\/p>\n \u201cThey took our performance down and caved to that bulls\u2013t,\u201d the \u201cCowboy Take Me Away\u201d singer continued. \u201cAnd then, I guess, they got so much bad press for doing that, within 24 hours they put it back up again.\u201d<\/p>\n Natalie called the racist fans and the Country Music Association \u201ccowards\u201d for their flip-flop decision-making.<\/p>\n \u201c[Beyonc\u00e9] just gave you your biggest ratings that you\u2019ve ever gotten. How dare you take her song off. It was ridiculous,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Howard, 70, who is famous for not filtering his thoughts, was shocked and ultimately speechless.<\/p>\n \u201cAre you f\u2013king kidding me?
