The fear is real. Paige DeSorbo<\/strong><\/a> broke into tears while talking about her future with Craig Conover<\/strong><\/a> after the two didn\u2019t see eye to eye on an engagement date.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to talk to you about us,\u201d Craig, 34, told his girlfriend, Paige, 30, during the Monday, April 10, episode of Summer House<\/em><\/a>, joking, \u201cWill you marry me?\u201d<\/p>\n The Southern Charm<\/em><\/a> star initially made light of the situation but revealed to Paige that he had some concerns about their future timeline. (The couple became Instagram official in late 2021<\/a> after sparking a romance that summer.)<\/p>\n \u201cWe [previously] discussed [that] when we settle down it\u2019ll be in Charleston. How the f\u2014k do we get there<\/a>?\u201d Craig asked his partner while at Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s 40th hoedown party<\/a>, which filmed in August 2022. \u201cWe\u2019ve never talked about the middle chapters.\u201d<\/p>\n Paige explained that even though she \u201calways thought\u201d she\u2019d be engaged by the time she was 30, things have changed. \u201cNow that I\u2019m turning 30, I don\u2019t want that,\u201d the New York native said. \u201cLike, we would date another year before you even proposed.\u201d<\/p>\n Craig was taken aback by his girlfriend\u2019s statement<\/a>, confessing, \u201cI\u2019m happy right now. I\u2019m happy doing this for the next year but when would you move to Charleston?\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cGiggly Squad\u201d podcast cohost explained that she felt like a \u201cproposal and living together kind of go hand in hand\u201d and she\u2019s not ready to uproot her life just yet<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you were to propose to me tomorrow it would be amazing. But then it would immediately start the clock of \u2018When are you moving down?<\/a> When are you planning your wedding?\u2019 If you proposed right now at this f\u2014king hoedown with a piece of hay, I would say yes,\u201d Paige said. \u201cBut it\u2019s a lot. I would be changing my whole life. I will be changing a lot more than you will be. I will be changing my whole life<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n The fashion contributor started to cry<\/a>, adding, \u201cI have no friends in Charleston. My family [is] in New York. I don\u2019t want to leave my mom.\u201d<\/p>\n Craig quickly interjected, telling his partner, \u201cBaby, it\u2019s going to be OK. Maybe I will come to New York. If it\u2019s for you, I would.\u201d<\/p>\n Paige insisted that she\u2019s \u201cready to be settled down\u201d but noted that \u201cthe thought of moving is scary.\u201d To lighten the mood, Craig replied: \u201cAt the end of the day, I love Charleston, but I don\u2019t love it more than you<\/a>. I know you love New York more than me.\u201d<\/p>\n The Winter House<\/em><\/a> costars laughed, and Paige quipped, \u201cIt\u2019s the greatest city in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n While the twosome seemed to be on the same page, the Amazon Live correspondent later told pal Amanda Batula<\/strong><\/a> that she was still hesitant about moving to the south. \u201cThe thought of getting engaged and getting married and being someone\u2019s wife is very f\u2014king scary,\u201d Paige confessed. \u201cWhy doesn\u2019t anyone say it\u2019s terrifying?\u201d<\/p>\n The Summer House<\/em> star exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in October 2022<\/a> that she and Craig had taken the next step in their relationship.<\/p>\n \u201cI gave him some room and a closet,\u201d Paige said at the time. \u201cThat was my version of being engaged. The Sewing Down South founder<\/a> joked to Us<\/em>, \u201cWell, I mean, her definition of getting engaged is very confusing to me.
