After two decades of anticipation, Disney has finally revealed the news we’ve been waiting for\u2014a Princess Diaries<\/em><\/a> sequel is officially in the works. We’ve heard whispers about a third movie for years, but now it’s real.<\/p>\n

The announcement that Joy Ride<\/em>\u2018s Adele Lim<\/strong> will direct has fans buzzing with excitement. And no one’s more thrilled than Anne Hathaway<\/a> herself. She took to Instagram, sharing a nostalgic throwback with clips from the first two films, released in 2001 and 2004. Remember her as Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo?<\/p>\n

Recently, Hathaway gave fans a glimmer of hope amid doubts about the sequel. She told V Magazine<\/em><\/a>, \u201cwe’re in a good place,\u201d hinting at progress. \u201cThat’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrews has also chimed in on the sequel possibility, though her outlook wasn’t quite as sunny as her co-star’s.<\/p>\n
